Pibborafi Rescue Heroes - Masha
Masha will help gowildhearts.org
Masha was born in Texas with congenital defects resulting in a curved spine and malformed front legs. Her mom rejected her so she was surrendered at two days old to a shelter. The shelter couldn't handle a neonatal so implored the help of a rescue. The rescue took her in but wasn't equipped for a special needs girl so she went to another rescue that specializes in differently-abled dogs. She spent two months in texas in foster and then three months in Virginia in another foster.
Her forever mom saw Masha and knew that she was her dog. She applied immediately for her and continued to hound the rescue for several months until they were able to finalize the adoption. With Covid and borders closing it took 5 months for her to join them in Canada.
She is thriving! She took very well to her wheelchair and absolutely loves being part of a family! They love her and she brings so much joy to everyone she meets! They were able to educate people that she isn't a 'poor dog' she's a differently abled dog living her best life! We hope she inspires others to adopt special dogs too!
FUN FACT!! She features her 'signature' heart on the back of her neck!
Children's toy, ages 3 and up.
