Gus helps @amazingmuttspuppyrescue

As a puppy Gus' entire litter was poisoned by a neighbor - but Gus made it! His prior “owner” allowed him to roam the streets and ended up being hit by a car and left on the side of the road for 2 days! - barely hanging on to life - when an amazing couple saw him and picked him up and brought him to the hospital after speaking with an incredible local rescue who agreed to take him on. His owner didn't want him and left him running loose in the streets looking for food. People were annoyed he was coming into their yards so they were saying to shoot him and mow him down with their cars - and that's just what they did. Someone intentionally hit him with their car. Gus suffered a shattered left tibia and fractured pelvis/hip.

Gus had Surgery with a plate placed on his tibia and had umbilical cord hernia surgery, eye entroprian surgery on both eyes, he was neutered and was heartworm positive (he has since gotten treatment for that). This poor soul has been given such a horrible start at life. When his forever family saw his pic and read his story on Amazing Mutts Puppy Rescue, Inc., they knew he had to be theirs. All three of them need to heal together - Gus with his bones and spirit and they with their hearts and soul after losing their beloved black lab Jersey.

That little "R" on Gus' back is the first initial of their dad Ron, and was a special request for Pibborafi Gus.
